The intimate cottage that lives large.

Built in 1916 at the dawn of World War I

This graceful Late Queen Anne home came with plenty of charm—especially its oversized original windows. We introduced a light, airy palette to enhance natural light and highlight the home's timeless character. With fresh interior paint, thoughtful TLC, and an eclectic mix of furnishings and accessories, the space was transformed into a serene retreat.

Century House offers guests a quiet escape blending historic charm & modern comfort—just right for romantic getaways.

This 1911 Folk Victorian was purchased as a loving tribute to the owners’ deep connection to Fredericksburg -

The story behind the design.

We make a great entrance.

Haven makes sure your guest’s first impressions are good ones. From room for all their luggage and groceries to memorable design. We have your bases covered from the moment your guests arrive.

From childhood summers with their grandmother to their wedding in town.

Now a short-term rental and weekend retreat, the home received a modest and thoughtful refresh, including updated kitchen finishes, new interior paint, and a curated blend of old and new furnishings. Through intentional color use, we unified existing and new elements into a warm, character-rich palette.

The owners are thrilled—with both the transformation and its return on investment—and have since invited us to design a new space for gathering with friends.

With humble roots in the 1800’s as student housing for Fredericksburg College

The charming rambler.

The home was added onto through a series of additions over the generations. Haven helped Blue Magnolia evolve into a warm and welcoming vacation home. Designed to host up to ten guests, updates included a full guest bath renovation, a new kitchen island, and the transformation of a former sunroom into a spacious dining room with a fireplace. Finishes and furnishings were thoughtfully unified throughout, and a fresh exterior paint color and gathering space beneath the grand magnolia tree brought new life outdoors. The result was a standout short-term rental—ranked among Fredericksburg’s Top 10.

Now a full-time residence, the new owners invited Haven back to furnish and style a recently added guest suite (photos coming soon), continuing the tradition of thoughtful updates and memory-making in this special family home.

Moon Garden planning concept

A returning client invited Haven to envision a private outdoor retreat—both as a personal haven and a unique amenity for their short-term rental guests. Collaborating with the property manager, we analyzed booking performance and revenue potential, comparing current trends to projections with the planned improvements. The results spoke for themselves, and the owner is thrilled with the direction and return potential of the Moon Garden concept.

The data helped drive the design concept.

Vineyard Getaway

Haven Studio created a pricing and design study for a series of one-bedroom vacation rentals envisioned as an elevated retreat in Texas wine country. The concept featured thoughtfully appointed interiors, including indoor fireplaces, luxurious bedding, spacious showers, and air-jetted tubs. Each unit was designed with its own private patio, complete with a fireplace and fountain—offering guests a sense of seclusion and quiet indulgence. Custom renderings helped bring the vision to life, blending comfort and sophistication to inspire both investors and future guests.
